Gauley Summersville Lake

Climbing at Summersville Lake
Climbing at Summersville Lake is a unique experience. While floating on a pontoon, we will pick out the perfect climb for the day. This might be difficult since the lake offers over 60 miles of rock formations and walls for climbing ranging from easy climbs for beginners to the most challenging rock walls.

Other Activities at Summersville Lake
Tired of climbing, take a break and swim in the lake while watching your climbing party and others scale the walls. For our all day trips, lunch is provided while you float on the lake and watch the human spiders climb the walls. We provide all transportation from base camp to Summersville Lake which is a short thirty minutes away.

  • This is the best rock climbing trip.  Our family has never been rock climbing and our instructor was fun and completely entertained our teenagers.  They were able to learn at their rate while Mom and Dad  were able to take it easier.  I would definitely recommend that every family experience rock climbing together.

  • I have primarily climbed out west but all my friends kept telling me to try the New River Gorge. This place is totally awesome and my new rock climbing home. Even though I have lots of experience climbing in the Rockies the guides were able to show me a thing or two. These guys know their stuff.
